would like an opinion from everyone
Ok I am very seriously thinking of selling my pursuit and buying a 22/23 footer for myself. If you all were in my position what would you be looking for, now keep in mind I would love it to perform as well as the v20 but have the room of the 22/23 footer and not break the bank. I also have a rebuilt 175 evinrude 25 inch shaft that runs real well that I could put on it if in fact it were an outboard boat

I don't think a 175 would be enough power for a 22/23 footer.

Good point Striper.
We have a 200 Yammie on our 23' Wellcraft and I wouldn't want anything less. I personally don't think our 23' Wellcraft runs as good as the V 20 in the chop here in Buzzards Bay. It's not bad but I still feel like the V 20 is better. The 23' Wellcraft has much more cabin space but no where near the cockpit space as a V 20. A 23' hull that runs as good as V 20 might be a Regulator or Contender or SeaCraft/Potter? I don't believe Bertram made a 23" hull. I personally am not a fan of twin hulls (cats). Having spent time on a 26' Glacier Bay a beam or rear quartering seas can get really scary. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say. |
