Back from Prince Rupert B.C

To start off I didn't get to take my V-21 this year I went with my dad in his 21' Northwest Jet. It has a Honda 225 that was amazing on fuel we avraged around 100 miles a day burning around 60-70 liters of gas per day would wave been around double on my Yamaha 200. Any way the fish payed dearly agian we hammered the salmon bad. I got the biggest Spring around 25 Lbs lots of Coho and pink salmon around but still small. Dad got the Biggest Yelloweye I have ever seen Wish we could have got that one weighed in. He also cough a Blue ling cod and the two biggest Halibut's at 50-60 Lbs. The Halibut limits have been reduced and they now have size limets on them as well. The weather was great flat sea's for the most part as the photos show it was pretty ok out there.

A shot of the Work channel from the south end looking north. This channel leads up to the Portland canal witch seperates Canada and the US at the tip of the Alaskan pan handle.

They were told to get out and never come back or in the next 30 min the they will :cen: meet two of our F-15's witch don't play well with others. Guess they rolled up and went to rape the ocean bounty some were else.

Is it just me or does that look like a place where you'd motor over to the shore, pitch a tent, start a fire, break out the cast iron pan, fry up the catch, crack a cold one and declare: "It doesn't get any better than this!"???

We were to busy catching them for chilling and eating lunch Lol. We did eat fresh fish of one kind or another every night and leftovers for lunch the next day. Dad had a few cold ones I stayed with the Whiskey and ginger. The problem with the beach is the little black flys on those Islands F*#$ Me they eat you alive. You don't feel the little bastards when the are sucking your blood until after you swip them off and you notice the blood all over your hand then for the next week you look like a golf ball. Not bad if you stay a few houndred yards off shore I was wearing a belaclava and gloves trying to get away from them. The other minor issue is it dosn't get above +15 very often there.

I think the same thing of that light blue water and white sand warm weather you have down there. Here are a few more phots for you to look at I don't have much boating experiance to share so this will have to do.

Ok, so I guess that puts things in perspective. The proverbial "grass is always greener" I guess......BUT you didn't have to tell us about the flies.

Now you've ruined all future photo viewing for me. I can simply no longer look at these beautiful pictures and think about the tent, camp fire, cold one etc. etc. All I will see when I look at them is BIG evil 1/4 lb flies with bloodsoaked 2 inch fangs.

Kidding aside, beautiful pics.
