well back from the coast now have begun to work on her again. epoxyed the floor panel's new wood in and them put glass over it to hold in place. then cut in the access hatch for the fuel lines. i hate a floor hatch to stick up and be a toe buster so i took the router and recessed in the floor hatch what ya think?

This is where there had to be a 1/4 inch more spacing for fuel fill

Here's the glass i used for the panel, i shouldn't ever need glass again. This is 42" wide and 250 yard roll. just got plus the other the guy gave too it's 3/8 inch glass in bottom pic heavy heavy crap

Re: 21 FT Project Boat Update

well been 2 days my epoxy hasn't dried enough to sand :-/ that i filled some gouges with. So i worked on the V20 tonight and did transom work. measured the transom with a string to see if it was smooth continued curve but it was off on one side by a 1/4 inch.ugh >:( so i ground on it till she is even all the way around. then spread epoxy with ballons to make smooth. now she is looking goooooooood. now got to line sand smooth then going to lay 1 piece of glass over whole transom from 4 inches under to over in well and 4 inches over the cap. she will be strong.

Thanks BR, Don't ya want to go on the first sea run ;D. i'm hoping she is done soon. I may have the V20 finished at the same time. I'd like to have both side by side and spray them with paint at the same time. A 2 for one deal.

Love the recessed access !! ...talk about attention to detail and a great solution 8) 8) ...yeah, if you can have 'em both ready to spray at same time, that'd DEFINATELY be a plus ;) 8) 8) ...as always, great work, Skools... ;D ...

Heck yeah I'd love to be on that maiden voyage! One of these days we'll be on EI at the same time...it will happen. I'll let you know when I head that way. If I don't get a ride on that Continental, maybe I'll at least get a ride on the Sea Ray or V20....or if I'm lucky that corvette ;)
