BGA, i had a 21' hydra-sport before i bought the v20(w/ e235) kevlar hull & it was the best riding & driest cc i had ever been on. the down side was the low gunnel's and the v was so sharp, that when 2 guys were fishing on one side, it felt like it was going over. i owned it about 2 years & sold it for a cuddy v2o when my daughter was born. that was 19 years ago and i still see that boat in the bay today (diff motor). the only thing i heard about the kevlar hulls were any repairs had to be done with epoxy or vinylester resin & then painted.

Thanks for that note Phatdaddy. I'll certainly keep that in mind.

Well BGA, it looks as though I was wrong about the 24 HYDRASPORT. I asked him about the transom and fuel burn numbers, this was his answer.
Top speed one person half tank 70 mph. 10 gph at 35mph offshore 5gph per side. The lmf 200 is a lifesaver when it comes to getting the most for your money as far as gas goes. The hull is solid as a rock, no soft spots. The transom was rebuilt to take the two o/b. That is soild as a rock too. This is a great boat and it has served me well. I have never had it tear up or leave me stranded before. If it wasnt for needing to buy a house i would not be selling it. Thanks Josh 706-818-0343 Now that's cookin! Not bad fuel burn numbers either. |
Ferm,
Those are surprisingly good numbers. I'm actually quite amazed. This boat could be a possibility. I'll be watching it on Ebay. I imagine the reserve will be up there on her... We'll see. Thanks for passing on the info from the owner. |
Email the owner from ebay and ask what the reserve is most will tell you!! I have many times!! Its stupid for them to do a reserve any way!! they get people bidding for nothing to try to see what it is, he might want 10K and save you time from looking, reserver bids are stupid and I have told a few that also!
:bsflag: |
I totally agree MJ... It was clever when it first came out, but everybody is about done with it by now...
|
Or you could give him a call, his number is in the Email I posted.
|
Reserve is $8k
However, that's very reasonable considering the twin engines... |
