After running mine, the 14X19 works great and it could use a 14X20 to bring down the rpms a little. *I turned 6400 @ wot, assuming the tach is accurate, recommended is 5800-6200 @ wot. That got me 35 mph GPS measured.

Keep in mind that ALUMINUM props tend to turn more RPM's than STAINLESS props of the same pitch. Aluminum props flex at higher RPM's and lose some pitch.

Maybe I just need a 19 Stainless. Well, I don't need anything, but maybe that's what I'll pick up if I run accross a cheep one.

Diameter and blade style also play a HUGE role. I've run several different 19 pitch props on my COBRA, and all with different results. I've run a 4 blade powertech that was 13 3/8"X19X4 and it hit 5200 with light trim and reached 48MPH(had it up to 5600 with alot of trim but the boat became uncontrollable beyond 53MPH). An aluminum prop that was 13 3/8X19X3 and it would turn right up to the 6100 limiter and only hit 40MPH. I've got a 14X19X3 aluminum that turns 6700RPM's and reach's 45MPH. My current VIPIR now turns 5600RPM's and tops out at 52-53MPH, but it would hit 51-52MPH @6100RPM's(rev limiter is 6100RPM's) before being rebuilt. There is no exact science to picking a prop, but through the dozens(and I do mean dozens) of props I've been through. You can't go wrong with a MICHIGAN MATCH ALUMINUM for all around durability and price.

On my last trip out I was able to run with just me in the boat and about 15 gal. of gas, she hit 40 mph @ around 6500 rpm.......I am just guessing on the rpm cause my tach only goes to 6K.
