That's the dilemma. Close them off and loose the self bailing feature, keep them and have wet feet. I compromised and plugged the drains when needed, on cold days mostly.

I keep a pair of rubber plugs on board for that reason...when I'm fishing live bait and have a 30 gal tank on the deck, then two guys are at the stern, puttin out lines or playin' fish, she gets a little wet back there...other than that, I typically don't need 'em

what i am thinking on doing is plug all the holes and drill 2 holes adding to bulkheads draining to the bilge

Manny.. looking good! That bracket setup looks clean, I love it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you're in Miami judging by the 305 number on the bracket? I was born and raised there :beer:
