WOW!!! Its been a while!!! been helping a buddy get his kencraft together forsale. but here is some pics of the motor transom bracket that has been painted and the trim and tilt parts. I used the Moeller color vision gloss white out of a rattle can and it came out awesome! all parts still need to be wet sanded and sprayed with the moeller clear coat

rolled 2 coats of this urethatic rubber surface on the inside of the console tonight. holy cow this stuff is tuff as nails. I really think im gonna roll the whole topside with this stuff. it easy as crap to touch up if it is needed. It chemically reacts to moisture, meaning the higher the humidity the faster this stuff set off and the harder it sets off. Its some pretty cool stuff. im trying to pratice on some hidden stuff so i get my technique down.

Made a temoplate for my transom wash board today out of an old sheet of FRP. thie template will be tranferred to a piece of 1 inch thick starboard for my final piece.

Seems your giving up a lot of restate in the transom area for a splash board. Why not move it aft more and use a drop door to provide the necessary room for the engine when it is tilted up for transport/storage?

Kracker Jack 09-11-2013 09:21 PM

thought about doing a drop door and it still can be done. Right now where it sits is only 12 inches off the transom whick really isnt alot. Ive mock fished the boat and have rod holders layed out and it seems that every thing is easily reachable. Im gonna mock the motor up again before I place the washboard and then I will take pics. let me know what ya think.

Looking great Kracker!!

I am still plucking along on my sons V project. I am going to add a splash well similar to that to his. He has the fishboxes in the back that I have to work around, but shouldn't be a big deal.

Side note: I see you still have EXCELLENT taste in beer. This is a motivational Natty pic for you when you splash

heres the wash board all finished up. I will fabricate the starboard cleats that get mounted to the liner to hold the washboard in place.
