Wow, that trimwork is beautiful. Reminds one of fine furniture or fine interior trim. I had never heard of Azek, so I looked it up. Sounds like great stuff for the coastal environment. I bet it is expensive, though.

I have spent approx 15,000.00 on azek so far, for example a 1x10-18 costs 70.00 and so far Ive used about 100 pieces.

Lookin' terrific lumber. What you using for the shingles. Please tell me they are good old cedar. If they are, they look like they have been pre-treated/stained with a bleaching oil of some sort.

OK, I can see now it is going on in sheets. Sure looks like cedar in the pictures. Now that is going to be a low maintenance "cottage." My mom has a cottage on the ocean (harbor) in Scituate, MA and it sure is hard to keep a good white trim paint job on it in the marine environment. Finally went to vinyl Andersen windows so at least we do not have to scrape and paint those every other year.

Lumberslinger, Do you post over on Contractortalk.com? It's a great contractor forum, we love pictures too! Tons of useful information and more.

I hope I see you there.

The work looks great by the way.

Curt
