Man the boat sure is looking nice. What is even nicer is all of the room you are going to have in that thing. That's one of the things I liked about my old V20. It didn't have the molded in bait well and fish box which gave it a lot of room. Don't get me wrong tho, I like the molded boxes on the V21 because I use one for beverages and the other for fishies without having to take the cooler. I also bring along a fish bag for those lunkers that won't fit in the fish box. But I've only had to break out the bag once and that was for a fat YFT. Fish that won't fit in the box = an awesome problem to have IMO....

When the V is almost next in line. We can have out right materials lined up. Need to find a set of DT200 ZUK controls, and find a bracket. Then the floor repairs. She looks like a snow girl out there. Under the Shade tree with the engine hanging from the Gantry. Keep up the good work. Looks like a nice warm spell for you down there. We can almost drive the Disco on the ice!:oh: come on spring... |

Here is my project for tomorrow. I'm gonna be glueing and screwing and the tabbing this bow arch in place. This will be my last structual piece that I put into place. As you can see 2 inch course thread stainless screws will hold it in place on the port and starboard side and 6 1 1/2 coarse thread stainless screws hold it in place under the anchor rope locker. I can't wait to get this piece done and move on to the cap. She not glassed in yet and she is solid as a rock!!!!! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...o/IMAG0457.jpg For some reason this picture makes the bulkhead look like its not level and out of wack to the rest of the boat. But its not. |

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...IMAG0523-1.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...o/IMAG0521.jpg So I really liked the look and function of draglinks sprayshield on the "natural light" boat I saw pictures of. So I made one today for my console. I also milled some starboard trim for my console opening. |
Now thats ironic right there......I just downloaded those pictures bc thats what I want to do with my sons console on HIS V. I hate the old '73 console....want a smaller one and that spray sheild LOOKS AWESOME!!.......and my Natty Light was the inspiration for it!!

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...o/IMAG0527.jpg Well I've come up with another backyard scrap wood idea. I wanted a leaning post behind the console but don't feel like paying the big money for one and then I would lose lots of storage area. So I took my old bench seat and have built a 12 inch tall box on top of it, and by cutting a large lipped hole on the back side I can keep life jackets in the bottom of the bench seat and make a starboard covering board that will be bottom of my upper opened storage area. I will incorporate 4 or 6 rod holders in the back ( black magic marker pictured) and right below the rod holders on the back will be that upper tackle storage(black magic marker drawn on the back). I will then get my buddy to make me a low profile pad for the front. I keep my same foot print of the cockpit with added storage. And like Emeril would say "BAM"!!!!!!! |
