If it was me, I would go down to the auto parts store and buy one of those cheap pocket thermometers that you can use for A/C work(but they read up to 220). Put that up next to the heads and see if they're actually running hot.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!

I guess a new waterpump is what it needed. I just ran it for 30 minutes on the hose and no warning buzzer.

I don't know if its because of the new waterpump pumping stronger or because of all the beating I did with the rubber hammer before I found the last bolt holding the gearcase on, but a bunch of sand came out of the motor while running it. I would say it was a good handfull.

Man am I relieved.

now the best thing you can do it go to a fresh water lake and run her WOT and clean the motor out really good with that fresh water from the lake. Then you will be good to go. take it Sat when it's suppose to be around 70*. Call BR here is close to ya.

Yeah, I'm tempted to drag her to the lake right now. But I have other crap to do today. Saturday is my son's birthday so I wont have time then either, but I am off Monday & Tuesday next week. I'll get it done soon.

Congrats!!!

Water pumps are fast easy repairs!!
And should be done on any motor that is bought use just so you know when it was done last!

I'll be on High Rock for a spin on my V Saturday or Sunday. Don't know which yet. I'm game :D

Right now the main battery is dead as a doornail. :'(

Yes, the down side of running pre-mix. Lots of smoke at idle 'cause your burnin twice the oil it needs at idle...
