Anybody have any idea how long it would take to go by water from Staten Island? Also, how many you miles approximately? I might be able to come that way if my trip falls through. My trailer has no plates on it and it's in storage right now. :oh:
|
Forty or more.Just a guess if the seas are good you could go all ocean. You could always cut in at Mansquan Inlet the start of the inland water way. Or you could jump in your car and head down to Island Beach State Park and walk out to the bay at party island.:oh:

Rumor has it there will be a band playing country music. Of course this was the rumor last year but if i remember correctly the band never showed up. Anyone else hear about this?

Weather dont look the greatest but I needs me a day out... I'm planning on heading out sunday also.
|
I just checked the weather. Rain early in the morning. Then partial clearing. Thats good enough for me. Right now I have been listening to a lot of reggae when we are out on the boat. Good stuff.

Newbie here; will try to stop & say hello
Hi all,
I've been lurking here for the last couple of months, just gleaning info. I picked up V-20 early this spring, and have been working to fix it up with my son. I was hoping we could get it ready for the raft-up, and kind of show up as surprise guests, but with the heat wave followed by the rain, it's looking like it's a slim to none chance. I will however see if I can find you'all and wade over to say hi. If the weather permits, I'll probably be over to Tice's with wife & daughter on jetskis. CHEERS! Capt.coconut |

Nice pictures!! Now were are the story's??

What a perfect day. The first time I went out in the V-20 and didn't go fishing. I would say their must have been two hundred or more boats that I saw while I was looking for the V-20 raft up. WOW I never seen that many boats with people having a party!
Then I heard Capt Pete on 68 saying over here Tommy so I headed over to join in. It was great to share company with them,I meet Rob his family and dog Newfey such a nice family with well behaved children. At that time there were only three V-20's. A little later the Barnegat V-20 George and his dad showed up it was the first time for meeting them too I must say his dad did a good job raising him he has his head in the right direction. Just as I thought no more V's were coming Ken and his wife came over to join us ,another nice couple with his [ show room condition ] V-20. My thanks to Capt Pete for introducing me to these people and sharing time with us. |

I got a couple
http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...13191710_n.jpg I had a great time with everyone. I ended up going solo. My wife didn't want to be in the boat after our trip across the Delaware bay the day before. But that is another story. Rob showed up first. Then I showed up shortly after. My brother stopped by for a little while. Then Tommy(step up here) showed up. Lumber made a visit in an inflatable with his brother. Later on George(barnegat v20) stopped by. And finally lumber got his boat over our way. It was really great to hang out and talk v20 with everybody. As usual I had the grill going making burgers, dogs, and even some tuna, thanks Rob,good stuff. So were the boiled peanuts. The weather actually turned out to be great. There were several hundred boats around so of course the scenery was great also. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...94129443_n.jpg So Destroyer what happened this time? Just wondering. |

As to the house, we've got the living room and two of the bedrooms done, as well as all of the downstairs. Just about the only thing left is the kitchen (I promised my wife a new one) and we'll be ready for the furniture and actually moving in (Wheeeeeee) |

I am all for a raft-up. Anytime, anywhere logistics allow.
I watched a couple dock up at the marina behind the Pilot House resturaunt in Key Largo in a 30' Whaler with twin Verados. He was from Jersey. He knew all about Tices. He piloted the boat down from Jersey which I thougt was cool. Then I ran into the same couple the next day at Doc's Place, small world. I never got his name but his boat said he was from Brielle, NJ. |

Brielle MUST be affluent...the guy just rode a 30' Whaler down Vic's way...$$$ |
I work in Point Pleasant Beach which is right across the river from Brielle. It's too bad you didn't get their name I probably have worked on that boat.
