Congrats again Kev, how about a shot of my Old School friend again before you put her up, then I will consider my twenty bucks well spent.
|
So what you gonna buy? dont let the wife get her hands on your hard earned money:bat:
|
I bought an Abu Garcia 7000 Big Game reel on Ebay for $75 and need to get a rod to go with it. I will post a pic when it arrives. It will be part of my fluke arsenal.

Well its about that time of year to resurrect the Snagger Tournament, is it not?
|
Oh look at you catching all the big flounder and all of a sudden you are ready for a tourney!! Jeeeeeeeez the nerve!!!
I'm ready too. :fam: |
I was reading the first post of this trhead and it's a thing thaht i would like to participate. Unfortunatly, i'm not in the U.S and not even in Ontario.
I'm in Québec, just beside of Ontario in Canada. Jean |
We could make a Canadian category just for you. Problem is you'd have no competition! Since the prize is all of the entry fees, you'd automatically win and get your money back unless someone else from Canada joined the Canadian category. Just thinking out loud. Sorry Jean. What do you catch up there?
|
i bet the canadian fish are huge like the wild animals.

Well, i think we have to be in the same group as everyone is. No matter where we live. As an angler, we pratice our passion everywhere we can. For my side, i will go to the great lake ( Ontario lake ) Maine, ( Casco Bay ) even if i live in Quebec. You wrote '' What do you catch up there '' Lake trout, Northen Pike, Walleye, Rainbow trout, Landlock salmon , Chinook salmon, and i will go to the Casco Bay in Maine for the bluefin Tuna this year. |
I wouldn't object at all to letting you join up with everyone. As always the more the merrier!
Catchemup! :sun: |
you would have nothing on anyone as you win by the % of the record of the fish you catch.
So if you catch Pike up there and the biggest on record is 100 pounds and you catch a 10 pounder you got 10% of you record fish. The person that catches the biggest % of the fish in there state or country wins. So you see no matter were you live you need to catch the biggest fish you can in your species. So some one that catches a 3 pound Blue Gill could beat some one with a 200 pound Tuna. |
Jean, can you find the provincial fishing records for Quebec online anywhere? I tried but could not. Maybe you'll have better luck searching in French??

i will do soon as possible no problem |
I tried to find a data base of those records in Quebec and i did not found it! Hummm it's curious!
|
I am sure you need some kind of fishing lic there?? Were ever you get that lic I am sure will be able to tewll you were you can get state or country records.
|
Although this is always a lousy time to fish for stripers around here, as always, I'm IN!!...
Suggest we start a fresh thread for this year's upcoming tourney... |
