Franco - tops already paid for itself 3 times over.

I've been maintaining it pretty good. I had a new zipper sewn in last year on the front. I now have some stitching busting loose in the rear that I will have fixed soon. All to be expected in a soft enclosure with some years on it. I'm still very happy with it. I can't imagine riding the 100 miles a day during winter without it! We were very comfortable every day.

When I take it in to have the stiching done, I'm thinking of adding some straps to the rear part of the side windows that would attach to the gunnel and hold them down better. This would also allow me to leave out the rear curtains, whereas right now they tend to flap in the wind and come unsnapped :-/ . I got the strap idea from my buds Grady. It has em and works excellent.

Leaving the rear out would be helpful on those warmer days where spray is more concern than cold.

RAP - well, even if I'm inducted without the slam - I plan on getting the slam ANYWAY! I just love a challenge (if you guys don't know that by now). ;D

Thanks guys,
Blue :D

Blue, sounds and looks like a great trip, cool pics. Fishin' by boat is finished for me as of a week ago. The V was winterized 2 wks. ago and just three days ago, I did the tin boat. [ I actually used the tin about three time as much this past season] And yes, as we've agreed in the past, the enclosure is an outstanding feature. Skools actually posted the e-bay link to were I found mine.....the seller had a buy it now price of 400.00, called him, an hour later I was on the road to somewhere in Brick township N.J.,I'm very happy w/ it ;D

Next time I go over to his dad's shop, I'll take some pics. I want to take pics of his anyway so I can show the canvas guy how I want it.

I've not seen mine yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll have velcro loops that attatch to the rear vertical support to keep the side curtains tight, if that makes any sense.

Yep, makes perfect sense. I thought about that route too. I might even do both. Thanks for the reminder.
