my dad had the ablation for a-fib and it worked for about 2 months. he ended up on coumidin(sp?). once we got the levels right, it was no biggie.

Coumadin (Warfarin) is a blood thinner. It's used to prevent blood clots from forming or growing larger in the blood and blood vessels. It's usually prescribed for people with certain types of irregular heartbeat, people with replacement or mechanical heart valves, and people who have had a heart attack. It was an option for me also, but they didn't want to use it
on me because I have severe gastritus (acid reflux) and they were afraid of it causing stomach bleeding. So they went with the shock instead. Actually, there is a hidden benefit to all of this.. I can jump start an outboard now just by licking it.:hide:

My wife has been through ablation, mechanical heart valve, coumadin, all that good stuff so I feelo for you.

They can work miracles but boy from this end it really doesn't seem like an exact science
