Re: They are Here

How's work, on such little sleep.

At least its during the day, try to work all night on 4-5 hours. :-[

Airslot 04-17-2007 09:47 AM

Re: They are Here

5 hours seems to be my nightly requirmenent. I've never had to work nights, but can't see how I'd enjoy it all that much....unless I could figure a way to go straight from work...to fishing...to bed....to work....hey, nights don't sound that bad ;D

Re: They are Here

I used to work third shift, 11-7 and it was great.

work all night, golf in the morning, sleep, family time for about 2 hours,
sleep, then back to work.

Can't do it now anymore, but I still have trouble on Sunday nights
trying to fall a sleep.

Re: They are Here

Plenty of time to work on spooling new line, lubing the reels, Shopping for cool stuff, etc etc ;D

Re: They are Here

HAMMER, I am glad you didn't install that new bolt when I visited,
you probably would have made me get in the swing to test the bolt. ;D

Re: They are Here

Soon as I can when I get home I get in the bed and stare at the swing hanging from the ceiling.

turbinedoctor 04-17-2007 10:05 AM

Re: They are Here

Thinking about hooking it up to the ceiling fan to add a new demintion to the swing.

Thanks, now I have to clean the coffee off my monitor. I'll be back....got to go get more coffee and more napkins, just in case ;D

macojoe 04-17-2007 11:26 AM

Re: They are Here

I have been working grave yard for 26 years!! I not one that needs a lot of sleep, I get a lot from Naps.

Grave yard started out as a necessity, wife did not drive, and with doctors, and kids and so on, it was better to have days free.

Work all night go out fishing in the am, nap and go to work!

I had a chance for days a while back and I thought about it for about 2 seconds, and said no!

Re: They are Here

It certainly takes a special person to work the night shift, but from experience, when you put them on day shift they hate it, can't wait to get back to "their" schedule ;D We have 24 hour security here. Thank goodness for the guy who works nights 5 times a week. He only leaves two shifts for the other, till he goes on vacation.

msbhammer 04-17-2007 05:09 PM

Re: They are Here

I hate daywork shift. Prefer my night shift. Parishht, sorry I forgot to show you the eye-bolt. *;D

Re: They are Here

LOL, once this wind dies down I'll be out looking and seeing how is the best way to run the wire and to hide it as well. Was thinking of running it through the gunnels all the way around to the other side. But thats a few more bucks in wiring, unless I can hide it well inside the cuddy.

Re: They are Here

Order a tube of Dow Corning 111 from McMaster-Carr ($10.82) to put on the connections after you make them up. This will keep the moisture out and prevent corriosion.

Congrats Turbo.

Now you better be in Lewes on June 2.

By the way, if you bring the camper over, Steamboat Landing has overnight spots available.
