captpete13 03-26-2011 07:25 PM

Hey Lee, I cooked the fish just like you said. I had it on Monday and I just finished the rest a few minutes ago.. It was some of the best I ever had! Even Michele's daughter liked it and she hates everything.

Glad to hear, I had some that Sunday night when I got home, fresh fish is Dam goooooood. We're having friends over next friday night to finish off the rest.

Willy has given me 2 new names Mr. Krinkle and Wind Talker 2 what do you think, I ought to change my screen name. I think the boys are jealous Michele spanked um fishin!! :sly:v1:laugh::cry:

As Willy says: Time to go to the howse.:haha:

captpete13 03-27-2011 02:11 PM

either name works for me LOL! I just finished the last few pieces. I put them on toasted potato bread with a little mayo and a piece of provalone cheese. Soooooo good! Michele is now teasing me saying "now what are you gonna do? There is no more fish till I go fishing with you again" I'm going to drag her out for some winter flounder this week hopefully.

willy 03-27-2011 03:09 PM

Bundle up Pete

Oh I don't think you'll have to drag too hard!!...she seemed quite content in the boat...and apparently an able angler!!...and, Pete...your fish sandwich sounds pretty good...:hide:

captpete13 03-27-2011 04:32 PM

I was looking at the weather report. As of right now Thursday looks ok. We might go out after work if the tides are right. I really stumbled on to something with that sandwich I can't wait to try it with some other fish.

willy 03-27-2011 05:59 PM

Pete are you talking about cooking it with the skin on, skin side down?

No skin. I cut the fillet into "nuggets". Put the nuggets into a bag with old bay, cajun seasoning and "fish fry"(I think its half flour half breading). Then I deep fried them till they float.

spareparts 03-27-2011 08:24 PM

I did the same thing with some dolphin one day. i had soem in the freezer. i pulled it out and let it thaw. had some pretty good size chunks of it, didn't feel like standing over the stove for a long time to fry it, so I cut it up in little cubes about 3/4". I didn't have enough house autry, so I added some hush puppy mix in to add some volume. i rolled them in the breader, then plopped them in the fry daddy, when they floated, they were done. i sat down in front of the TV aand ate them like popcorn

Man that's some FINE DININ' THERE...I used to do that when the girls were little and they ate 'em up!!...sounds like Spare's a big fan of that style too!!...pass the Tarter sauce!!...:sly:

RidgeRunner 03-28-2011 07:03 AM

I am still sore that the Spongebob Boat whipped us so bad fishin'. Wilson's too for that matter. I like my crow(I mean fish) with a little coctail sauce Reel. Had I know we would get beat up on so badly I would have brought my secret weapon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIGBHZFeNgo&NR=1
Michelle was obviously the secret ingredient on Saturday, although Mr. Krinkle would like to think it was his fishing expertise. :fam:

I must say this past weekend was a huge contrast to the weekend in Charleston. Blooming head cold kept me in all weekend. No glow sticks. No "Uno Mas". Just cable TV. I am ready for another trip, but like CaptPete said, need to let the bank account recover a bit.

Sorry I didn't make a better showing for us on the fish...but at least we were fishin' and not sittin' at some desk somewhere...or watchin' cable w/a head cold...hope you feel better soon, Buddy...

RWilson2526 03-28-2011 10:16 AM

How's this for a huge contrast:

Cocky Lil Krinkle, ain't he?...

willy 03-28-2011 04:22 PM

Thats me, Classic White Boy.

And Ozzie it already after 5PM, Krinkle has had at least one concoction made with three different liquors and a pint of ice cream so don't hold it against him.
Remember he gets fuzzy while imbibing

captpete13 03-28-2011 05:52 PM

sorry Lee. I don't want to go braggin just yet. I don't want to jinx my next fishing trip. Which should be Thursday right after work. If the weather holds out the tides are looking good. I spoke to someone who went out Friday and got the lowdown. He got 14 winter flounder and told me exactly where and with what. So we are gonna give it a go.

garagenc 03-28-2011 06:16 PM

Had a great time wish the rest of you guys could have gone then I wouldn't be the brunt of these misguided acquisitions.
Another get together will be coming along and I'll be ready with the camera. :sun:

garagenc 03-28-2011 08:33 PM

Cool pics Pete, Michelle can take all the pics she wants, they make for more of a interesting story than the rest of the pics.

Rob where are you to help defend me against White on Rice and Elder state's man

willy 03-28-2011 10:56 PM

Nice pics guys. That Key west shot by the way was of a sweet southern Lady named Sandy who was dealt a terrible blow in life and yet has managed to stay sweet and as charming as any Southern Belle.
God Bless her, she has endured though terrible hardship and has managed to thrive in spite of the cross she bears.
And as for Mr. Cocky Krinkle, well lets just say by the end of the night, after several pounds of sugar and multiple ounces of various liquors all together, shaken not stirred, well, you guys understand I am sure.
And you guys sitting on these pics lets get them posted. Not all of them of course, just those viewable on the web.

Lee, I think you are doing a pretty good job at defending yourself at this point. I can definitely say all who attended had a common link .....we like to imbibe on "occasion" . I actually had forgotten you started your day Friday at 2:30 AM so when taking that into account you win Friday nights competition hands down!

Road King Cole 03-29-2011 09:29 AM

just wanted to say thanks for posting all the pic's. looks like it was a great time and something to really consider for next time! (although that is probably too far for me to bring my boat).

Don't forget that we have a Tices Shoal meet in Barnaget Bay in the summer......That's what really started this meeting thingie. That should be well within your towing distance.

If we can get some of them local boys to drag their boats over there us poor slobs wont have to be towin boats from the far corners of the continent (well 2 corners anyway)

captpete13 03-29-2011 06:51 PM
