Caught a bunch of trout & rock Saturday from 18 to 23", but nothing worthy of digging the scale out. Had lots of fun though.

Motor started dropping a cylinder or two at idle but ran fine at anything off idle? Have to try and find time to dig into that this week. Ain't complaining, the thing hasn't ever missed a beat on me. I figure it was due for a little love...

My V has been sitting on the trailer since July 27th b/c my buddy bought a 22ft Clearwater CC.

Which boat to fish? :head:
I suppose that is a great problem to have but lately it has sucked for my beloved V21.

Glad I could help!

LOL

Its not set in stone yet but I think I am going to go with a block foundation, 2 x 6 stud walls, wood siding and metal roof. I need to get going on it - that's for sure! At this rate it will be 2020 before its done!

macojoe 10-08-2008 04:18 PM

I am renting a auger and drilling 20, 12" holes for sona tubes. 3' deep. We have a frost here that will heave the building in the winter if I no get it down deep.

Hope to get that done soon, I am waiting for the tree guy to cut down a 60' pine tree first.

16 x 24 workshop to be built in the spring. Or maybe some in the winter if I feel up to it?

OK, entry #2 a bit bigger.....bluefish around 28" and 8 lbs 12 oz. You need to zoom in on the scale and see that it is just under 9 lbs a little more than half way between the 8.5 lbs and 9 lbs so I think 8 lb 12 oz. The picture with the tape has bright sun in the back so it's hard to see but if you zoom in you can just see the 27" marker near his mouth. I really need a new digital scale....

So, 8.75/24.8125 = 35.3%

I thought it was going to be over 10 lbs when I saw it but came in a little light. No other fish caught. I was initially going for blackfish but couldn't find any.

whale 10-12-2008 04:41 PM

I am just wondering who is holding back! Someone is going to post a monster on the last day! :head:

randlemanboater 10-15-2008 08:58 PM

Funny you should ask Whale.

My two buddies and I spent a nice day on the water today here at Holden Beach, NC. The weather is more like early September than mid-October. Sunny and warm.

Well, we caught us a mess of sea trout today, many real nice ones, but nothing to come close to your 35%.

I will post some pics in a report when I get home.

C YENSEN 10-16-2008 07:19 AM

im going sunday.......look out:hi:

whale 10-16-2008 09:55 AM

Down to the wire....I need to find time between kids soccer games to go out this weekend!

Airslot 10-16-2008 10:00 AM

While I've caught a mess of fish the last few trips, I can honestly say that I'm not holding out. I intend to get out one more time though.

C YENSEN 10-16-2008 10:02 AM

looks like just a few fishing.

Dont think "Wall Street Willy" is going to make it out. :you:

macojoe 10-16-2008 10:53 AM

Photo contest is to end the day after!! so be sure to add your pic's there also!!

C YENSEN 10-16-2008 11:01 AM

you fishing MJ?

macojoe 10-16-2008 12:21 PM

I really wanted to!!!! But I can't get out alone cause of my condition right now :cen:

CB and friend Kenny have been to busy to go, Kenny and I were going to go today, but he broke a tooth and went to the dentist instead :cen:

O well I am calling the season!! Boat has not been out of the yard since July, I can't go alone, and the leaves are falling. Just going to cut my losses and call it. Might be covering this Saturday?? I have to see if my son is coming down and give me a hand.

C YENSEN 10-16-2008 12:37 PM

sorry to hear that buddy. there has got to be someone you can take fishing.

whale 10-19-2008 07:41 AM

I was going to go out one more time but there is a small craft advisory in my area today...

willy 10-19-2008 08:49 AM

Lucky you don't have a small craft, you got Old School

fish the inside sheltered waters, that may be a good spot on heavy sea's days

whale 10-19-2008 10:44 AM

 True true.....plans were to go blackfishing and anchoring up in 3-5 foot swells didn't sound fun so I chickened out. Now it's time for my kids soccer games.

willy 10-19-2008 08:10 PM

its called prioritizing, good call

whale 10-19-2008 08:47 PM

youngest (8 yo) scored 4 goals today.....he is crazy good at soccer. Doesn't get it from me....my wife was the soccer player.

C YENSEN 10-20-2008 07:11 AM

well people have till 6 pm to post their catch, but right now it looks like whale has it....come on boys, quit holding back the fish. Small craft advisory here all weekend, could not get the boat out of the slip....:bat:

Congrats Whale! looks like you have it.

I'm not sure what the RI record for dogfish is, but I thought this one was respectable. Although I forgot to get the tape measure in the picture here is the tournament winner! 120lbs dogfish!

let me know if these don't show up

macojoe 10-20-2008 06:19 PM

:clap:Congrats Whale!!

whale 10-20-2008 08:41 PM

Thanks....not a spectacular fish but always fun bringing in the big blues. I really want to find some time for blackfish over the next few weeks. I have only been out once and didn't even get a bite.

willy 10-20-2008 08:56 PM

And what boat did you use to catch that prize winning fish on?

whale 10-21-2008 05:49 AM

that would be OLD SCHOOL!

Sean 10-21-2008 06:08 AM

Congratts Whale!

Black fishing is red hot, so get out there!!

C YENSEN 10-21-2008 07:06 AM

Congrats Whale you are the official winner of the tourney. Too bad you were the only person to post a fish. I will work on getting your money out to you this week. Congrats.

Blue_Runner 10-21-2008 07:43 AM

I still have one to post...it was a loser anyway but a notable catch. I'll post it one of these days

CONGRATS WHALE!! Now you have to spend that money on Old School and let us know what you use it for.

reelapeelin 10-21-2008 07:53 AM

You can use Paypal if that is easier for you...thanks.

C YENSEN 10-21-2008 10:40 AM

well that is the problem.....someone somewhere tried to hack my paypal account last week, and they have put a freeze on it. they also tried to hack my bank account:bat:

so I have been :fight:with the bank and paypal all week.

Did you get an e-mail that looked like it was from Paypal telling you this? I have gotten them before but they are pfishing scams trying to get your login info....

C YENSEN 10-21-2008 12:59 PM

no I went to log on and it told me that someone tried and failed too many log in attempts.....and it would take several business days to reset everything

macojoe 10-21-2008 05:14 PM

I got a email from them before, t was fake!! I called them on the phone and they said they will never try to contact me like that,Be careful!!

whale 10-21-2008 09:30 PM

I get them fairly often for Ebay and Paypal. If there is a link to click and login, it is a scam. I always forward to the customer service ([email protected]) to report it. So many people looking for someone to scam....

Well, at least they didn't get into your accounts CY but what a pain in the a$$.

C YENSEN 10-29-2008 07:05 AM

Whale, paypal is back up and you will have your payment tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, and again CONGRATS:clap:
