90 is exactly what a 200 / 255 looper should be even, only the 120/130/140 loopers will run be on 125 to be perfect. I have a brand new from OMC 225 powerhead in the garage with 0 hours on it and it has 90 exact on all 6. OMC Shop Manual says anything with shaved heads should not exceed over 105 can cause motor and starter damage.

Decarb the motor, Carbon builds an gives you low numbers sometimes, Yamaha is know for this alot!!

...not to mention you can use two different compression testers on the same motor and get different readings.

Thanks to advances in boat-building technology over the last decade, modern transoms are created to withstand torque. That’s why the m-ywedge™ is so long overdue. It’s only eight inches long, so it fits in any boat storage compartment, unlike the old style transom saver. It works with manual or hydraulic jack plates, and regular or long shaft models. It’s virtually indestructible as well as UV and saltwater resistant. It won’t harm the trailer, outboard or boat and perhaps most importantly, it completely eliminates the need to lean underneath the boat for installation, nothing to hold on to.

Looks good, but as the add above states,

"Thanks to advances in boat-building technology over the last decade, modern transoms are created to withstand torque. "

We are not talking about new boats, we are talking about 20+ year old boats that were never built to with stand the toruqe!!

400+ pounds sticking out 3 feet from the transom is a lot of tourqe, and I anit taking any chances on my 31 year old boat!
Looks like crap, but works, and just takes 1 min longer to hook up!
I will get a pic later, but its home made and looks ruff, but it works!!

I'm with you MJ. I ain't taking no chances. As CB said, one set of RR tracks and it's all she wrote, good night, party's over!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've made.

Going over RR tracks can be bad news for heavy outboards.

So I guess the gist of what you are saying is that a transom saver is a better way to transfer weight/force to another source ( trailer), right?
