Yep, not there yet.
Six hours on the meter, got it up to 5000rpm yesterday, you boys must be patient.
Lot of thunder storms daily this year. With local gusty winds, I cut the ride short yesterday. Should have more time on the meter today. I'm still feeling out trim and such, and.......I thought you just wanted pictures.

snoozer . . . Congrats on the new motor. Looks like your specs are on par (or a little better) than this boat.

Motor is turning out to be OK.
Smooth and plenty of power. Still need to get a handle on trim, but its all good.
4200rpm gives me little over 20 kts.

Hey Snoozer...
Quickie on trim:

Outta the hole w/ trim all the way down; best bite
Once gettin' on plane, hold up button for a slow 3-count(1001, 1002, 1003), maybe 4 depending on how fast your trim moves
Steering will be heavy on plane w/ trim down; will lighten up w/ trim up; RPMs will increase 2-4 notches
Goin' straight and long turns, leave trim up; best performance and fuel econ.
Tight turns, trim down, best bite, prevents "blow-out"
Rough seas, you want the bow down, so trim down...if ya wanna get real fancy, trim tabs will help here, too among other things...wish I had 'em...

Anyway, hope this helps... ;) ;D...

Snoozer: I have a 84 cc and am thinking about repowering from a 90 merc. Looking at thr 135 to 150 range. It's great to hear about your 140 Suzy since I looked at it on the net and was wondering what it would do for mine.

Pictures look good also. Welcome to the board. I am a newbie here also but these guys made me feel right at home.

Lots of good infomation in the older posts also if you have time to go back and read them.

Keep the pictures and updates coming.

Update

About thrity five hours on the new motor and all is well.
At 4200rpm I am getting 20Kts in flat water.
Best thing is; last day of lobster hunting (a mix of speeds) I did eighty miles on twenty gal. with very little noise.

Re: Suzuki 140

Reel, there seems to be plenty. You have to measure fifty to find a keeper in some places. There is a lot of predation also this year, or it may be that we have not had a 'cane to wash away the detritus. It looks like Nurse sharks like lobster as much as we do. And they tend to go after the bigger ones. I don't know how the commercial catch is this year so far, but the price is up.

We seldom get our limit, it is an excuse to go. And if this motor continues to be this good on gas, I'll be going farther into the back country, on more like exploring missions.

Edited for spelling.
