Mac, I am considering somthing similar to your kicker bracket. Does is tilt up and out of the way for running and where did you get it?

In the up position it will not tilt forward hits the transon. Seakindly and brian helped me greatly with the install. I'm looking for their earlier posts. Here's three photos that may help. Bill Mc ;D

Thanks that looks exactly like what I am looking for. I just hope having a bracket will keep it out of the water.

You'll need the up and down motion. My skeg on the 9.8 still drags a little and you can't really tilt the motor forward.
I second what Mac said. I have the same or similar mount that has the up and down motion and the skeg and prop still scrape the water when I take off. I can tilt my motor forward a bit though to alleviate the dragging a bit.

I got to put my 2 cents in if you put a spacer between the transom and the bracket you can tilt it forward enough so it don't drag mine has 2 *2by 6 blocks on it

Re: Auxillary Motors

Mine will tilt all the way, but with the x-tra long shaft the skeg still gets some water time.

That's a good way to make use of the transom notch! Nice! That's a perty 175 Johnnyrude you got there too!
