Thanks. I posted a thread about the pulpit earlier and I had the actual dimensions. Its teak. Its mounted with carriage bolts. Look for the earlier thread for the info!!

Re: Boat is in finally

I have been trying to find that post but can't??

But I remember that it was 36 long X 12 wide X 2 thick

Mine is 2 feet long X 9 inches wide X 1 1/2 thick Starboard

You can see mine here
http://www.wellcraftv20.com/cgi-bin/...num=1114205135

I will keep looking for fillet1 , Its not in a thread titled pulpit so its going to be a little tuff to find?

Here the info:

The Material is 1 and 3/4 inch thick

11 7/8 wide
3 ft 1in long

13 inches of it overhang from the edge of the fordeck (not the rubrail)

The back edge (nearest the sliding hatch) is beveled at an angle. The bevel is 3 inches wide.

Look for a thread entitled "BOW PULPIT""

Re: Boat is in finally

If you like wood then his is the way to go!!

I hate the up keep of wood so I went with maintenance free starboard.

As for how strong they are, Well I would say that the starboard is much stronger then the wood, maybe twice as strong!

But that said I think we are both over kill! It will take alot to pull either one of them to break!!

Got to remember the boat has a lot of give bouncing in the waves and then the rope stretches also!

What ever one you use will be a great addition to your boat!!
