Re: Its Official
Congrats Willy, and Thanks. Now I have the pleasure of looking for my future boat all over again! Maybe a V-21?????
|
Re: Its Official
Use a fuel stabilizer because it will be sitting for extended periods. Charge the batts once a month. Plumbing? The water drains out of the outboard after flushing.

Re: Its Official
You got it Buddy, oh so your gonna one up me with an extra foot huh ;D
|
Re: Its Official
Gotcha CB by plumbing I mean the lines that always end up holding water like bilge pumps and their lines, scupper hoses etc.
|
Re: Its Official
V-20 is 20' 6" while the V-21 is 21'4", so the answer is, Willy, my friend - F1 can only up you by 10" at best, and still remain in the family ;D
Jus my .02 :) |
Re: Its Official
Bill,
The scupper lines wont hold enough water to do any damage if its freezing out. same with the bilge lines - the excess water in the line when the pump kicks off just drains back into the bilge. |
Re: Its Official
Ok Rich, hey Rich did you say that you thought the motor was maxing at 5400 rpm in the beginning of the season, I was'nt sure. Trying to remember. Talking with Skools on another post. I read the manual last night and it says the max rpm should be between 4500-5400 depending on prop

Re: Its Official
willy, congradulations on the new rig. You got a nice package there,F1 did a nice job on that boat. I see you're a jersey guy...striper season is fast approching, the tackle busting blues are bitting... get her out and fish. Like RAP told me just before my maiden voyage" YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THAT HULL" The more you use it the more you'll thin out that bottom paint...makes the job easier come springtime. Good luck.
