Re: Anyone have a V-20 CC?
If he does not want to give you the numbers then screw him!!
There are plenty others around for sale!! why no numbers?? does he have the capability? Is it he can't or he won't?? ask him one more time, if he says he can't then, ask if you can do your own tesat. Go to autozone and rent for free a compresion tester, and take it with you. I he won't then say I give you $2000 and you keep the motor!! Just remember any used more you are taking a chance !! and keep that in your mind when dealing!! |

Re: Anyone have a V-20 CC?
After being so reluctant to supply compression results, if he gave them to you now, would you have much faith that they were accurate? The only way to be sure is to test it yourself. Make the trip. But make it with the realization that you may go home with nothing in tow. Don't be too anxious to buy just because it looks nice and you drove the distance to look at it.

Re: Anyone have a V-20 CC?
Three years ago I traveled 170 miles to inspect the Mac Attack. It had a Force 150 that people advised me to stay away from. My brother in law and I went there and forgot the compression tester on first trip. The boat was really clean and well taken care of made an offer contingent on comp tests. Checked out OK and here we are. He may not be mechnically inclined. Take the trip ask Tin what happened to him. Bill Mc ;D
