RB - thats great! Where'd you launch at Tuckertown? I've fished it a few times and we always launch near High Rock dam, but there are huge boulders just under the surface.....you should have seen my bro-in-law's 25hp johnnyrude bouncing up and down evertime the lower unit hit a boulder :o It was a miracle he didn't tear anything up. I've never had the V down there, just jon boats.

You probably launched down there off of hwy 49, which is much safer. I've never launched there.

Boy I though High Rock was muddy, but I guess T-town is muddier!

Bring that sweet V up to the Rock ;)

You are correct, I used the ramp that is right on 49.

There is plenty of water down on that end of the lake. It was 64 feet deep under the 49 bridge.

They don't call it the "Muddy Yadkin" for nuthin.

I see you got a pic of my house while you were out today and if you look real close you can see me waving from the second floor window. I watched as you ran up and down the lake she looks good.

There appears to be plenty behind the HR dam too. *I think we were in 30 ft when we hit the boulders - did I mention these were boulders - not rocks *;D

Its a trip! *I'm scared to death of that place! *But that is the place to catch the stripers. *Not a bad catfishin hole either.

I did some research on how HR got the name High Rock. Before the lake was made (man made) the yadkin river ran where the dam is now. Tall Rock cliffs on each side earned it the name High Rock. Much of the rock cliffs are just under the surface of the water now.

I pondered also about how that lake could have possibly gotten that name
