Re: heavy stern ?
Mulv,
The striped ones are here and they are biting. They were hitting just like they do in the fall. Just hook up some bunker , loosen your drag and sit back and wait for the run off. I forgot to mention I was in 14 feet of water but where they bite can change day to day. |

Re: heavy stern ?
Instead of the rot stuff you coul;d chip away at some of the lose stuff, then drill a few holes down and fill them with resin, thwn add the cloth and then make your cap.
But drilling down you can get some hardner down were it might have gotten wet. |

I don't know how or why Wellcraft screwed up on the transom design when everything else about the hull is perfect. The engineer who thought of the metal cap must of had a hang over or a brain fart the day they started installing the caps. LOL ( just my opinion) |
Re: heavy stern ?
I think all of us would agree with you on that one. ;)

Re: heavy stern ?
Would not know, I have a full transom ;D

Re: heavy stern ?
menacer try squirting acetone it will displace the water and evaporates. *This technique is mentioned at http://rotdoctor.com/ *I'm going to glass over my transom cap. *Billy Mac *;D
