Ok Hammer, I'm taking the thread back for a moment :P ;D

First off, Big thanks to Reel for taking the trip. I'm glad he had fun and it was well worth it for him, but the thorough inspection of the boat and the info he gave back means alot to me. Maybe reel could start a V20 survey business on the side ;D

I talked to Mr. Farmer yesterday before he closed. They determined the Volt gage was reading incorrectly, but the batteries were charging between 13.6 and 13.8 . So good news there. Mr. Farmer is suppose to check monday to see if there is any kind of warranty on the powerhead (after I finish this post I'll start a new thread in the repair section addressing the issues Reel found there).

I still don't know if there is any kind of top to this boat (bimini or otherwise) so I'm going to assume no top what-so-ever.

Reel did find a couple of soft spots on the floor, but they weren't mush. As I understand there is a little "give", but not bad at the moment. The gas tank cover, on the other hand, is very soft and would need some attention sooner than later. Although I'm not as concerned about that because it doesn't involve cutting the floor. It can be unscrewed, removed and re-cored. There is also a "oppsie" on the bow from where something was hit. It looks like it was repaired and seems water tight, but should be fixed a bit better. If you look just below the bow eye you can see a little of what I'm referring to. And finally, there is a bit of cosmetic issues and some things that could/should be cleaned up, but for an 11 year old boat that's to be expected.

As for my thoughts on this boat at the moment, here goes. If we can agree on a fair price considering I'll probably pay someone to do most of the work on the floor, whether or not I'll have to buying a top/full enclosure (come fall/winter it makes all the difference for stripper/striper season) and the motor issues can be resolved then I could have the boat in a week or two. Once I get a few more answers about the motor I'll have a better idea of what I'm willing to offer. And yeah, I want this boat. I'm a bit more comfortable knowing Reel put it through it's paces on the water and it felt solid. That seems good reason to believe the overall condition of the boat is solid and the issues that need to be addressed shouldn't lead to a can of worms. Though I'd like to know what caused the couple of soft spots :-/.

I'll keep ya posted! ;D

Sounds like a plan JeffX, but remember, Rock Stars can afford nice boats. The V21 can be a babe magnet as well. ;D ;D

For 12Gs...it's a very fair deal.
