The cuddy would be the best all around but I think the cuddy is to small to sleep in. However, with full canvas you could sleep on the open deck.

OK,

Here's my take. I've owned two of the three styles (cuddy and dually), and fished out of the cc in the gulf before. CC is for fishing - no two ways about it. Not nearly as good for riding alot of people around at a day on the lake. IMHO, the cuddy rides great and will keep you dry in rough seas. On days when its like someone is throwing buckets of water in you face, its nice to be able to hide behind the glass. The front deck is optimal for the girls to lay aout and catch some sun and the back is large enough to put lawn chairs in if you like. And, there is the cuddy for the potty. I had a marin ehead which was great. Down side - try fighting a tuna in that boat when he wants to take you toward the boe. Try climbing up on the deck with the rod in your hands in rough seas. Its not easy.

I opted for the dually this time. You can travel all around the boat with a fish on and you still get a front area fro the kids (and ladies) to hang out and get some sun. OK, the cuddy is a better (read sexier) looking boat, but the dually has a beefy look all to its own. I don't stay out over night and wouldn't fit in the cuddy even if I did. The dually actually has some good storage, if you add up all the compartments on it, although each space is small.

To each his own.

Cuddy is tight, good for one that wants to lay in there but tight!!

the cuddy is plenty big enough (yeah plenty) for the two stooges to lay down or just goof around.

I love my Cuddy. There is room for the kids to nap, room for all the tackleboxes and lunch coolers in the cuddy to keep them out of the way, and plenty of fishing room.

As far as forward fishing room, my favorite place to stand while bottom fishing is up front. Just slide the hatch forward and you can lean up and fish in comfort.

Kids napping.
