Unfortunately it will be a very long road. Sandy was 6 years ago and along the bay I still see abandoned houses, half raised and then abandoned houses and empty lots. Toms River tax base was devastated. Businesses (like our flower shop) took a big hit for years. Sounds like you didn't get flooded so you got that going for you. And there's talk of changing the building code standards which means even if insurance re-imburses them for a total loss, it won't cover the cost to build to the new standards. I seen alot of this after Charlie went through Punta Gorda back in 04. Many people lost there childhood homes and couldn't afford to rebuild there homes to the new code with the skyrocketing material cost's because of demand.
