In looking around on the interweb it seems the opposite is the norm - the caps freeze up and nearly impossible to remove.

Have had nothing but drop in hubs for several years now... LOVE THEM. Carry a spare insert, front and rear thrust washers, nut and retainer... Unless you hit something you'll never need to carry a spare prop again. (But always do, just in case)
