1/2" is the size of ratchet or breaker bar that fits it... If it was the sbc socket then it will work.
Don't worry about mice... Just get oil in there and work it back and forth
I purchased the one smokeonthewater said to http://m.summitracing.com/parts/pro-...FQwvaQodUj0AeQ
I put trust into you guys, so I just ordered it in the effort to move forward... cylinders should be nice and lubed by the time summit ships it out...I have to get a puller to take off the Balancer too.... thinkin about the cheapo puller kit at harbor freight? ... will it work? http://www.harborfreight.com/bolt-ty...set-69889.html going out to work on the pig now |
Go to Oriley or autozone... You can rent one for free.... You pay a deposit and then get the deposit back when you return the tool.
Yeah that's the one... You're GTG
It only cost $28.00 shipped... it would cost almost that in gas and of McD's while Im out! LOL

Attachment 5982
Attachment 5983Got out there and the freed up nicely.. was able to pull all the plugs one at a time and load them up with tranny fluid.. here is a laugh.. I used a ball primer to get the oil into the cylinders, the second one I did was #3.. I pumped and pumped and it didn't take much.. I pulled the hose away and tranny fluid shot out like a musket gun and got me right in the eye!! LOL... effin rookie!!! I did notice that # 3 #4 ? the two middle ones ... the pugs were real funky.. some sort of green mold growin on them.. any thoughts?? I plan on letting this sit until Saturday before trying to budge it.. that will give it 4 days.. for the most part..engine looks pretty new/clean |
That would be corrosion. The plug electrodes are made of copper, and copper corrodes green when wet.
do you think water in cylinder? That is why it is seized? or just age/condensation?
We have no way to know.... First step is free it up... THEN we find out if there are other issues.
HOPEFULLY just a little condensation.... And HOPEFULLY it breaks free surprisingly easily with minimal rust. |
