screw that..... yank the engine out and find/fix the problem... you and your friend SHOULD be able to rebuild it for under a few hundred dollars......
Don't give up on her... you WILL lose your tail if you quit now... Running it's worth 3 times what it's worth with a bad engine. |
Personally I would be hesitant to accept that it has major engine problems if it was running fine till you shut it down

It's all new for me right now... I am going to sleep on it.. I am working midnights right now and have all night to think on it. Where the boat is we don't have the ability to pull the motor. I would have to take to a different place with a loader tractor and pull the motor and put it in the back of my truck and take it back where it is now... Wish you guys were closer… :beer: |

if it won't turn over with a breaker bar on the crank, with the plugs out. Pull teh out drive off and try again. Its the only other thing that can keep the engine from turning. You need to pull it off anyway if you decide to repair/replace the engine, so might as well pull the drive to eliminate it. BTW, put the shifter in forward gear before pulling the drive
