The carpet is all nasty in that pic, but only one I have. I am going to take pics tommorow, and I'll post. Its all cleaned up and painted, stereo installed with subs. Perko switched. I will also take pics of the GPS MPH this weekend. I guess I should be doing 70mph. I am just below that, and recieving some advice on getting the last bit out, so going to see if I can post some 70mph 20foot step-bow wellcraft pics. I know someone around here had said something about being faster than 50...lol

you may want to start looking at a nose cone at that speed. Keep an eye on your water pressure(you may have to install a gauge). You should need the low water pick up for your application, but it may help if you have a pressure issue. Check with Bob's Machine Shop.

Sparepars.....with the fear of boat god coming down on me, I dare ask.....what is a nose cone? Low pressure pick up for the engine?

Now I know why I missed your thread. Title is a bit misleading. That bimini top is toast at 55, LOL. Nice V. Keep us posted.
The low water pick-up is to keep the water pressure up at extreme motor heights ( which you don't have) The nose cone installs on the lower unit they solve water flow issues. http://www.bobsmachine.com/Products/cones.cfm I have a 25 Tempest prop I don't use, but I think the Bravo 24 will outpace the Tempest. Where UB at UBHSTRY? |
I am in western Pa, between pittsburgh and erie.
Ya, if you look close in the one pic, I already blew the top off :bat: Need to find a place to get new rods for it now, broke on right in two. All ducked taped up at the moment...LOL When I first made this post, I was trying to say what I was working with...lol But, it has evolved I guess to be one fast V20:clap: |
