I will be using the Gas Dock, been thgere done that with the 10, 5gal cans!
I told old for that now!! |
Hope those vented fillers solve your problem MJ. When I rebuilt my V, I replaced the vent lines and looped them and every since if I fill it completely full it will leak out the vents when I brake and slosh the gas foreward. My V has saddle tanks. Ive been thinking about relocating the vents higher up and more foreward on the gunnels. When I pull it a good ways, I usually stuff paper towels under the clamshells covering the vents to keep the gas off my hull! It works ok.

Reel and I both had 74 and 75 and had the same issues with the vents. We moved them above the rub rail were there is a slant up, worked perfect!!

Thats nice if you have a working gas gauge! :nut:

I do similiar to Reel....I turn it on and see how many "bars" and based on that figure about how many gallons it will take. Then when it starts getting close I tell everyone to shut the @#$%*! up so I can hear, lean my ear close and first sign of a gurgle, I'm done. One of these days I'm going to get an ear full of ethonal blend. :hi:
