It was a completely dry ride and rather smooth given the 2' chop. It needs trim tabs as it leans much and using the outboard to lower the bow for a smooth ride is inefficient. Hydraulic steering would also be nice but adjusting the little fin should make it acceptable with cable steering.

Sounds like a great 1st trip...glad to hear all went well...you'll have lots of fun tweakin' the little things:sun:

I agree. The 20' was a dog. Very well built boat,...heavy too. Congrats.

I had a 9.9 yamaha 4 stroke on a 24 grady as the kicker. It worked better than a 25 hp 2 stroke on my v20. Check out the 4 strokes designed as kickers unless you have a big 2 stroke just laying around. Mine had a stainless linkage connecteing the kicker to the main motor that worked well too. You really don't want to hand steer a kicker from the motor well for 5 hours....been there and never want to do it again.

Nice boat!

I got my check for title transfers back today. Post office found it lost in the mail. No titles with it.

Found the titles. They got sent back to the guy I bought the boat from. He said they're ripped in half

I finally got it out in the gulf last weekend. It was as smooth as I've seen it out of the jetties then picked up to 3-4' and too close together on the way out. Ride was great for a small boat, got it to fly once though. Barely beat a lighting storm on the way in, it opened up as we climbed into the truck. Ran about 70 miles on 48 gallons, including trolling most of the day. I put trim tabs on it about a month ago the they have really improved the ride. I really need to learn to take pictures.

Bloody decks lately. 5 gallon washdown has been working hard.

Good fight on this one until a big splash, this would have been in the mid 40s.
