Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
Got the cap back on and started glassing her in. Would post more pics, but the battery in the camera went dead. >:(
Starting to wonder if Seacast would have been alot easier, CHEAPER and "FASTER" :-/ http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...r/DSC02925.jpg |

Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
Lookin good. ;) ;) ;)
If you can do that outside with limited light and tools, then I know I could do mine, in my lighted barn with all my tools. I would just have to bring the V to Pa., when I am ready. I think I am looking at a rebuild in the next two or three years. |
Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild

Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
LOL, I would like to use Durabrak rubber paint like Capt. Bent used. But the West System is killing me in the wallet. :-/ Thinking Seacast would have been cheaper and easier. But at least I'll get a V-20 Blue-ribbon for doing a transom......"Right"... ??? ??? ???
I want my Ribbon. ;D |

Re: Hammer's transom Rebuild
Hammer,
Seacast seems to elicit negative feelings from folks. Pourable is better terminology. I will probably redo my transom on my dually this winter and I think a pourable solution is in the cards. I personally will go with Arjay or Nidacore pourable- Seacast is just to damn expensive. I'm sure I'll have my share of folks telling me I'm crazy for using the stuff. If it flops, it flops. I can always go back in and do a traditional rebuild. Maury |
