Well, this is a stretch for "boating".....more like rafting but I will post here anyway. Also, I didn't take the pics as I am in the raft....2nd one back from the front on the starboard side with the shades on. I was in Denver for a conference and we took a side trip to the Clear Creek rafting company. My first time in the whitewater.....hopefully not the last!

My V20 in Flamenco Beach

1 Attachment(s)
This photo was taken early in the morning in Culebra Island, Flamenco Beach. I have been planning this trip for two years, and finally it happened. Entering the bay is a little tricky, must use chart and GPS, or visual day light nav, because there is shallow reef all over the place. Water is incredibly clear, so is easy at daylight, but at night, GPS is a must.
I anchored on sand, so fine, that the anchors just got "cemented" to the floor. Sand there is so white and fine, that almost feels like baby powder. Father God is definitely The Master of all artist, only HIM could have created such a beautiful place.
I invite you guys to visit Culebra sometime. I will be your guide, no charge.
JT

Hey Willy...have to thank my wife for taking the shot....that smile is pricelss though...have had it as my screen saver ever since...I'm in Boonton, just up from the resevoir. I guess we boat in Lake Hopatcong more than anywhere only because its pretty convenient to get there, unless of course its a weekday between 4:00 and 6:00 pm!!!! And of course on the weekends when there is less car traffic they get all that boat traffic. Biggest reason I got the V-20 was so I could expand my horizons and hit the saltwater more. If I see a V out there I'll pull up and see if its you!.

willy 08-20-2008 09:39 PM

Best I can tell so far there are 12 V's so far I have pulled up to this year in raritan bay and said hey and told them about the site. keep an eye out for me
