I would be very interested to see any pictures of the restoration work too. Have you thought of a number yet for the boat without the engine?

V's get to the low 40's with that type of power not much faster, They were never made to go that fast IMO

That is a beautiful boat, but I can tell you from experience that, that is entirely to much motor hanging off the back. That thing will sit low to begin with in a normal notched transom, when you include the fact it is sitting back on a bracket that thing is in for some serious dunking unless you are going to stay on some flat water, all the time.
That rig with a 150 ETEC woould probably be ideal, though I understand from some of the lucky fellows here that the 175 and the 200 hundred don't weigh much more so that may be an option. It would not be mine though, especially at the end of a bracket. JMHO

Not trying to stir any feathers but, with more horsepower you do not need near the RPM's to cruise and therfore burn less fuel. Mine came with a 200 and I generally cruise @33-38 mph @ 3300-3600 rpms and WOT on the river @ 4900 rpms full of gear it runs out @ 48-53mph which is way faster than I ever need to go or can afford. Just a thought. *By the way that is one sweet CC with plenty of power.
