I used to double date, party, etc. w/ my wife and her 1st husband (girl I was dating at the time turned out to be bi...now that woulda be a catch :D) ...anyway, she and hubby split...later ran into him and another girl I had a realationship with (another story)...several months later, my now wife dropped by to show me a new '85 Bronco II she'd just gotten...we gassed it up and went trail-ridin all nite in the mountains; didn't come back til next mid-day..started seein' ea/ other and often went to lake (Jocassee) w/Black Lab & two Jack Russells in my John Boat...one mornin' on way to the lake, she had fallen back to sleep (usual), I took a little detour to Simms Chapel which is an open (roof w/ stone columns) chapel on the side of a mountain w/ a spectacular view...she didn't wake up till we were there, so big surprise..."What's this?"..."Aw just a little place I found years ago...walk out here w/ me"....walked her out to the alter on the edge of the mountain and asked her to come back up here and marry me in the Fall...cried, said ''yes'' and we had a pretty good day at the lake that day ;) ...

Anyways, I asked her at the airstrip on Dauphin Island. It was a spot about halfway down that we always fished at....asked her on a fishing trip. 8)
