Re: The Eagle has landed
You would think that when a guy works his whole life and after thirty years takes a couple month break and buys himself his first new boat, not a fancy shmancy go into debt for ten year boat, just a nice one he could get a few hours to take it for a ride.
But NO Trees are blowin bent half way over, rain is going sideways and the word is that we will have a little tizzy coming from the north and east to finish us off for the winter on Sunday and Monday. You would think there would be a little more compassion for a guy from above. It's like having Brooke lying next to me and having the tool tied in a knot :-/ |
Re: The Eagle has landed
Very precise analogy Willy, spot on.
;) That's a pretty boat. Looks very stable. You do need to take her down a couple of dirt roads - she's too clean! Glad the CEO/CFO/CIO likes it ;D |
Re: The Eagle has landed

Re: The Eagle has landed
Well I got her out on Round Valley reservoir.
Other than the fuel start up issue I spoke about on the other thread she runs sweet. Had to run her for break in at 2000 rpm for awhile but did get up on plane and played around a little. It is a 9.9 lake so I am not supposed to run the big puppy but screw them I was on a mission. She jumps up on plane easy and she sounds like a jet turbine running, sweet very sweet. The G3 feels a lot more solid and steady than aluminum boats I have owned in the past. Quite a few actually and no comparison. She is also heavier. Took her to 3G's on the tach for a minute or or less at a time and she is flying at that speed with half a tank and two guys, that is my bud Jeff who went with me on the inaugural launch. The guy with the new Maycraft. He fell in love with the G3 how solid it felt. Cant wait to get this ten hour break in done so I can open her up but the weather has not been good. Hopefully some time this week I will get her out again and can go to 3G's for awhile. Will get more pics then when I got more time to play and run. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...z/IMGP0261.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...z/IMGP0260.jpg My bud Jeff, soon to be Capt. of a big boat ;D http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...z/IMGP0259.jpg |

I'll ride w/ ya, to help hook it up. Super nice ride WILLY!!!! I would love to have something like that for bass fishin around here. Did you break a bottle of PBR on the bow as you launched it the first time? |
Re: The Eagle has landed
Thanks guys, yea the hat kinda fits you know what I mean.
And I am available for charter on all fresh water lakes rivers and light bay work in the NJ area for all you snaggers when you are in town. Small fee of a handshake and a beer. And no I did not break any bottle on her yet, when I do it will be on the inaugural fishing expedition when I have my electronics and rod holders all hooked up. Even then it will be empty as I do not waste anything as precious as a bottle of PBR. 8) |
