It would probably be a day trip for me, unless a few very special things fall together, but I doubt I could work out an overnighter. Now if Momma's in WV ::)

Well the Cape is a three hour drive for me, and add the time for the ferry if we hook up in Lewes. So I am going to try a room for the night.

My work schedule ended a week ago and have no idea just yet what I'm working. But we are taking care of that problem now in our contract talks.
Willy, managed to get the guys into the police and firfighter retirement plan. 20 years and out. ;D
Hoping to be able to roll over our 401-A plan and buy in our years of service. ;D

I seriously considered finding a cheap flight and meeting you all face to face. *The Accountant (capitalization intended) pointed out my recent and ongoing V20 purchase/expeditures and said this trip would ummmm... "not be in my best interests". *There was something in her tone of voice, or perhaps it was the carving knife in her hand but I sense she is serious.

Well is June 9th 10th doable to everyone?
And do we want to be in Cape May or in Delaware?
If guys are towing the V's to fish most will be coming from the Delaware side right, so it would be an easier tow to Lewes or thereabouts.
Cape May can be pricey for rooms and dockage but the fishing in the rips should be good?
Don't know enough about Lewes area other than it's pretty, less expensive and still good for fishing, plus Lefty lives there ;D so it must be nice
Plus some guys should probably consider arranging some additional time especially if they are towing there to maybe stay a couple of days extra.
CB I think you should come with the Wind Talker, you guys will be the loveliest couple at the ball I'm sure ;D

June 9 & 10, I will be in Lewes.
I can do Cape May as a day trip.

Hotels are much cheaper in the Lewes area.
If HAMMER uses his pull as a police rep,
I am sure he could get a good group rate at the Red Mill Inn.
Even if not, the prices are reasonable and I know people who have
stayed there, reports are good.
Boat ramps a plenty in and around Lewes.

For the CEO's, outlet shopping galor in Rehoboth Beach.

Probably about 20.00 in bridge and road tolls.

I get get rooms at the University of Delaware. I think at a discount of 75 bucks. Just off the Lewes canal. Cape May or Lewes, doesnt matter to me. Just dont wanna see you guys get hit with the ferry price to come across.
If interested, I'll get prices for the rooms. I know the guy well. I rented rooms for my weddind recption there.
Maybe do a hook out at Parrish's place. ;D
Able to walk across the stret from my house for some beach fishing or drive out onto the point at Cape Henlopen. If bringing the V's, I can reserve dock space at teh city boat dock.
Lisa just woke up. Hmm, she's not hung over as I thought she would be. She's complaining why I didnt take advantage of her last night. :-/

That allows me to drive on Cape Henlopen beaches.

Sounds great Rick, glad your in. Looked at the vacation schedule guys. Our female officer put in for that week.
I can do the 2nd of June or the 16th. Are those dates any better for anyone. I can put in for the 9th, but not sure if it will get approved. Maybe I should have sent my chief a X-Mas card after all. :'(

Here are some pics. of the Virden center rooms. Off the main drag. in the woods and are vary quiet. Nobody really knows that they rent the rooms. I never did until I needed rooms for my wedding party.
