Re: V20 member locations list

Same here Blue, will be running into early December at least, the way its going I won't even see the best striper fishing in Raritan Bay until well into November. But I will tell you I have to learn how to take care of a boat, batteriies fuel ines, water pumps ( bildge, bait etc.) and electronics when the temp drops below freezing, I have never had a boat that I kept going during the cold months before so any help you guys got let me know.

boating season is just starting to gear up here. Big boats coming down the Intracoastal waterway everyday. Fishing is really starting to heat up. Come on down to the sunshine state.

Franco, wish I could spend the time comin' down ICW...all the way to Sebastian Inlet... whoa, that'd be a super=cool trip...run outside for a while, then back in for the night...one of these day... ;D...

WILLY...winter tip for ya; get in the HABIT of tiltin' your motor DOWN after you pull up the ramp each time...let it sit that way while you're puttin' all your stuff away and strappin' down...this will drain all the H2o from the foot and keep freezing temps from CRACKIN' the gear-case open...extra precaution...back at the house, store boat w/motor DOWN...it's become a habit for me... ;)...

CAUTION: GOTTA REMEMBER to tilt her up to travel...habit, habit, habit... :)...

We'll free-line stripers all winter long, come spring, pull out the Norton Snaggers and go to cut-baitin'...and I got the perfect HAT for all the above!!!... ;D...Thanks Cap'n.. ;)...

I live in Clarksville, Tennessee and fish Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, Old Hickory and Percy Priest. I am originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida and we go down there as often as possible and fish the Gulf and Choctohatchee Bay. As a matter of fact, I am there right now until the 23rd.

Hunting like boating can be expensive especially when going after those thingy tangs. They can be quite expensive. Thursday pheasants season opens and our rifle deer season opens Nov. 15th. Good hunting! Bill Mc ;D

Hey Mac Attack, how far from Hart Michigan are you, thats where my father is from and all his family is still there, we go up every couple of years to spend a few days. Was going to take my two Brittanies there this October and do some grouse hunting and go up to UP with them but circumstances won't let it happen this year :-/

Gotcha Mac, do you hunt grouse where your at or is it further north from you, I hunt deer, elk, rabbit, squirel with a long bow and a recurve, sometimes with a muzzle loader and if I'm feeling a little lazy with a rifle or shotgun but my passion is bird hunting pheasant, quail, chukar, and especially grouse with my two britt's and previously with a springer who i no longer have

Edited to add: Forgot, I live less than 1 mile to two boat ramps on Chincoteague bay and have a slip thats about 300 feet from my office but normaally keep her on the trailer.

Re: V20 member locations list

Willy, grouse are further north. My brother inlaw hunts them on his property in the UP. I've never bow hunted but the weather is much nicer during bow season. Bill Mc ;D

Re: V20 member locations list

How is that grouse hunting up there, I always thought what a great trip, see my aunts and cousins a couple days and then head north a few hours, fly fish for some browns early morning or bow hunt deer whichever floats my boat. Spend the middle of the days following behind a couple Britt's looking for the wiley birds. There now I've gone and talked myself into another trip next year ;)

We hunt on a large farm owned by a familyfriend with a lot of $. *There are no longer any native birds so he buys 70 or so birds. *There are two release pens where he puts 25 birds in each pen. *This year there were 15 hunters group A the Lab team and group B the Brit Team. *The Britanys are owned by Bob the farms owner, we took 12 birds on the morning hunt. *The Lab team took 15. The Labs are owned by other hunters. *The birds that were not taken are hunted on the weekend by Bob's family and any of us who want to go back up. *It was a perfect day! *Bill Mc ;D
