Re: MJ any snow yet?
Hammer, I wasn't loosing fluid either. We never did determine where the problem was. Sometimes the seals go bad on the inside allowing fluid past. For what I was going to spend chasing and rectifing the problem, I just swapped in a late model used unit. Remember, I have a merc guy for a neighbor. He had one laying around and I got it for short monsy.

Re: MJ any snow yet?
Damm, thats alot of snow. When it rains it pours. Anybody here ever fix a belt on your dryer. Tosed in my drenched boots so I could wear them to work tonight and I guess all the banging around broke the belt. >:( :(

Hammer.....I have replaced the belt. It is no problem. Get the front panel off and it is easy. Usually you need to use a putty knife or something to slide in and pop the front panel off. |

Re: MJ any snow yet?
My dryer is 20+ years old.....once when I had a repair guy in for a warranty repair on my washer he said keep the dryer as long as I can because it was a good one....bought it used for cheap. On top of that my wife hangs most of the clothes to dry outside so I am hanging on to the oldie but goodie as long as I can.
Once I "fixed" my washer by popping off the front panel and finding a sock that had snuck out over the tub and got hung up somewhere that prevented the tub from spinning.....sometimes it can be so easy if you are not afraid to try. I hate paying someone to fix something! |

Re: MJ any snow yet?
Figured it out, I can repair it. All I need is to find a replacement belt. Want to do it myself or I'll be draining the overtime check for the boat repairs to pay somebody else to do it. We cant have that. ;D
