Re: soda blasting

Did you buy braided line for a rub rail? You must've had alot of money left over from your ETEC purchase. I used black nylon. I feel cheap. ;)

lumberslinger178 04-14-2007 07:13 PM

Re: soda blasting

hey air .... no thats just the very first layer of paint he said he didnt want to try to get it spotless cause then that would effect the gelcoat . the bottom is in perfect condition I wont have to do any repair ;D

Can you image? How can they even see when they are doing it??

How long did it take him to do it??

lumberslinger178 04-15-2007 10:03 PM

Re: soda blasting

it took him about 3 hrs from start to finish... he was a pretty big guy too...

Stinky_Hooker 04-15-2007 10:17 PM

Re: soda blasting

Can you xplain to me whats going on in those pics? I am not familiar with "soda" blasting. I just assumed that it was a different blast material, but was essentially the same as sand blasting. Whats that big bag for? I'm confused. *???

Sorry for the dumb questions... :-/

Mulv80 04-15-2007 10:26 PM

Re: soda blasting

I think the bag is to contain the paint thats blasted off. The EPA is pretty tuff on these guys especially when you working so close to the water.

Re: soda blasting

Bag is for containment of particulate matter...byproduct of the process commonly referred to as "sody-blassin''.... ;D ...
