It well sell, if not this time the next!!

If you go to your MY Ebay and look at what you are selling, you will be able to see how many are watching it.

One problem with no starting price is you have a lot of people watching that might not be able to afford it, and are hoping.
When you have a start price then all are on a level playing field and only the ones that can afford will be bidding.

I just figured the lower the start price, the more people would open it up and see the video.

There are five people watching it, but I bet most are from here.

I did get 2 questions, one from a guy wanting it shipped to Montana, but the other was from a guy 80 miles away. I told him that I would deliver it to him for gas and lunch money.

I think you put that bid in just to "help a guy out".

I know you are new, so let it go this way, if it doesn't sell you can relist for free and make changes for the next time.

I have to go with MJ on this.....If it is something you know will sell and get good money (I have sold Red Sox tickets on Ebay) then I start at a penny and let er rip. If I am not sure then I start at the lowest I would take and forget the reserve. As a buyer, I can't stand a reserve....sometimes people will actually say what the reserve is. In this case I suppose you get the draw of the low opening bid and people know whether or not to bother bidding.

Good luck......I wish I was in the market. The video is great!

How tough would it be for you to get compression readings? People, like your question guy, can get hung up on these things. He can hear and see it runs great but he MUST have the readings. If it's not much trouble you could add that to the listing.

There seems to be plenty of intrest in the motor, but we will see if anyone is serious in a few more days. I'm gonna compression test it this am and get a few more requested pics.

Skools', It took some experimentation but I finally figured out how to put in the pics from PB. Thanks for the tips.

Well, I know I had a compression tester, but I couldn't remember who I lent it to. So $26 later, I did the test. 118 - 121, most were 120.

The problem I am starting to see with ebay is answering all the questions from people who have no intention of bidding. People from all over the country asking stuff like they are going to drive from NY or Montana to get this motor.

Re: Merc 150

I had to get up @ 0250 this morning so I could be at work by 0330. :(

Having done that I had some time after work today to disconnect the Merc from the V. I got everything unhooked except for the four bolts holding the motor to the transom.

Its a wonder that it ran as good as it did with the way the gas line was rotted. I went to disconnect it from the fuel/water sep. and it crumbled in my hand. :P

Getting ready for when the bid soars on the auction and I have to get that baby to its new owner.

I bet the next question I field on the auction will be from someone who wants to test run it.
