CY, thanks! Those look just like the rigs guys up here use for Scup/Porgies.
Air, that what I'm talking about! ;D Nice fish!! Must of been a decent fight lifting him off the bottom ;D
Still, the link didn't work, need to log in. But that is a trophy fish by any standards. *The peanut bunker have moved in here and hopefully my next trip out (not today SSE gusting to 30knts *:'( :-/) I'm going to try and grabb some with my week attempts @ cast netting ::) :P :P ;D
How far off the bottom are you guys fishing? (Sinker to hook. ) and how long is your leader to your hook?
Thanks guy, allot of good info.

sean, lately i've been using a teaser rig that i tie myself.
i keep a smaller bait off the bottom with a dropper loop, about 18-24 inches above the main bait.
still catchin the same amount of fish i been catchin for the last 40 years.
fluke aint fancy and they dont care what you put down there.
my pop once used a berkley gulp grub and kept up with me no problem, and it lasted about 10-15 fish.

just give em something to chase and they will chase it.

and yes, fluke are sight feeders, but they have very sharp eyesight.
just get anything down there and they will find it.

Charlie, sounds basicly like the rigs I've been using. I find the teaser out fishes the bottom bait two to 1.
Air, Now that is a Door Matt, I think I would be more proud of a 13lb fluke then a 40lb Striper (probably because in 25 years of Fluke/flounder fishing I have not broke 10lbs ::) :-/ )
All good stuff, and hopefully we can all gain a litle bit of info, or a new style out of this :D (I know Charlie, that sounded Gay ;D).
