Ferm I have no experience with these boats, or the I/O. A couple of thoughts though.
After you repair or replace what you know to be wrong, and throw in a doozy or two you did not expect, will you have a boat that makes you smile ear to ear?
If so go for it. Sometimes we set a money point in our heads that just is not going to get us where we want to be, and in the end we let something slip away and regret it later.
I think all men have done this.

So, how much does your finished product appeal to you?
Does it tickle your fancy my friend?

And this is the matter perplexing me. I'm trying to figuire out wether I'm in love or lust right now. I know she'll need some work. Engine work don't really bother me, but glass work is an evil deed for me. I would rather get rid of a boat that runs but needs glass work, than to buy one with a blown engine and needs no glass work. Just somethin about fiberglass work I dread.

Well after thinking about what ole WILLY said, I offered him $1750 for it. I'll see if he is willing to meet somewhere in the middle, or if he is stuck on $4K. Considering the fact that the engine hasn't run in over a year, and the trailer is not great. I didn't think 41750 was that out of line. It isn't my fault he buried himself in it so deep when he bought it, and let his wife rule the roost and not use it.

Sounds like a man with a plan, good luck

Good call Ferm. If it's meant to be it will happen for ya! If it doesn't something BETTER will come along! :sun:

randlemanboater 03-30-2008 02:13 PM

You did the right thing......that boat is not worth $4K....or is it?

Nah....its not.

Well....maybe.......nah.....

Like said above, if its right you will get it, if not, buy the one with twin Opti's.

THEFERMANATOR 03-30-2008 07:55 PM

Me no afford twin OPTI's, they cost more than all of my boats put together. I guess it's a no go, he won't respond to my Emails or anything after I sent him my offer. It might have been worth $2500, but that would have been a stretch I feel.

Oh well, NEXT!
