I've only dealt with the ones made locally (which are beyond my budget) out of single pieces of pipe for each bow.
In all honesty, I was wondering how they were going to ship 72" x 80" box. It's just not practical, they have already figured that out.
The assembly proves to be easy, the instructions are very detailed, the pipes are color coded to their location and the bows are labeled.
Hell, I probably couldn't mess this up.
Like Mulv said about the quality, everything is better than the parts usually available at the boat shops.

And anybody needing parts and accessories needs to look at their stuff.

Got busy with a Hydro Sports project and didn***8217;t get to the V till late.
At least got stuff centered up and close, now ready to add correct hardware and bolt in place till I find out about the other two brackets.

It was intended to be junked after robbing the motor for the V.
Daddy then thought it would be good as a bream boat for places like Clark Hill, Santee and Lake George Fla (where we're going next month).
Spent most of yesterday outfitting rodholders, umbrella holders, wireing the trailer, trolling motor modifications, etc.
Still got to add the depthfinder.
This is what it had on it, insane hp and weight.
We put a 75 on it instead, floats higher and still does 46mph. Well that was before the new prop and adjusting the motor height, still got to try it before it's first fishing trip.

I'm looking at getting top for my V. Did you guys shop tops much. This looks like good value to me. I was wondering what sizes you guys ordered. Can you stand up under the top with the size you ordered?

I looked for months to try to make sense of different advertisements on biminis.
Trying to find the shop that had stainless hardware, rigid uprights and the fabric I wanted, I gave up.
Cabelas had the closest thing I wanted till finding these guys.

And then seeing that Mulv had already started a thread that I somehow missed.
The 6' long, 79"-84" wide, 48"-54" high is what I got.
Ended up cutting off about 6" in order to get the height I wanted due to the mounting location.
Right now I believe there is a little over 6' clearance.
The way mine is mounted, it can fold over the windshield, mount stored just above the windsield, mount stored to the rear overhead (like normal), be opened level and be able to fish from the rear seats uninhibited while providing shade to all 4 seats or tilt forward to just over the windshield to use as protection during a rainstorm while heading in.

I know I should have taken some pictures but I installed the GMI top this weekend. I really like the quality of it, I was able to run up to about 35 mph without it looking like it was going to rip off the boat. I bought the stainless supports to replace the back straps, I highly reccommend this option. I'm able to fold the top up and leave it on the supports and its much more stable than the straps while running. Another bonus with the support poles is they don't have to be extended as far back as the straps so you don't have as much interference when trying to fish. I got the sunbrella with stainless hardware upgrade on an aluminum frame with the support poles for $350 shipped.

Are you guys running the support poles on the front and back or just the back? If both, how easy is it to "drop the top" and get some sun while your out on the water? I like the idea of stowing it over the windshiel while casting.

I have my support poles in the back. I can stand under the top without a problem and its out of the way for when I need to get to the sliding hatch. With my old top I used to let it rest in front of the windshield and it was always a pain trying to get to the front of the boat for the anchor or whatever.

Mine are front and back in order to position all the locations meantioned.

Haven't actually used it yet, as far as I have gotten is to mount it, make sure it works and stowed it.
