Woe! That's a big difference in specs! 1980 pounds versus 4000 is huge. That's a monster beam size as well. I'm liking this boat...

Based on what Skools has said and what MJ has just posted, I tend to think Iboats has it wrong...

my father had a 79 Comercial model 20 ft SeaOx, it was the slowest, roughest riding, wettest boat i have ever run.

Hey guys,

If you come across a good deal on a center console, I'd appreciate it if you let me know.

I'm looking for something from 20-23 ft (ideal would be 21-22) and between $5-6k, preferably powered by J/E, but not necessary. T-top preferable as well...

Here are a few I've been looking at; opinions are welcome.

If this guy would take $6k, I'd be on it (I don't know why he refers to it as a nice "starter boat"):

This one's nice, but only 19 feet...

Who knows how much this one will end up going for???

I would love an Aquasport 222 CCP:

Have you ruled out the first boat on craigs list the mako. If not that might be the perfect boat for my dad, but did not want to if your still interested.

Bygracealone 02-13-2008 05:48 PM

Stillrunning,

Thank you for being so courteous. If you don't mind, that boat is still at the top of the list. I just emailed the guy. If you'd give me just a couple days, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Steve

What do you guys know about the Sea Ray Laguna that Pearch mentioned?

randlemanboater 02-13-2008 06:05 PM

You finally get the V in the water and now you are looking for something else? What's up BGA?

Bygracealone 02-13-2008 06:17 PM

Yeah, I don't know what's up with me RM... Right after I bought the dually, I already had the itch for a center console. I don't know what it is about center consoles, but I really like them. If I find one and buy it, I'll be putting the v up for sale come Spring. The only reason I'm looking now is because this seems to be the time to buy, given the season and the recession... should be able to find a great deal.

BGA:

I know it more than you wanted to spend but It can't hurt to see how much room he has? Plus he's relatively close to you

Hey Kamikaze, thanks for the note. That boat has been for sale for over a year. I contacted them last Summer or early Fall and they wouldn't budge much on the price...
