Is that bulkhead a structural part of the boat, the reason I'm asking is that I thought about using it for something similar and I think you or one of the other guys who use it a lot told me I can't use it for any weight bearing or structural stuff ???

Well yes that holds the cuddy up as well as the windsheild!!

That stuff is much much stronger then wood!! and I would use it evey where wood is used! Butr it does expand with heat, and shrink with cold , but so does wood!

MJ,
thanks for the advice ... and the pics. I like the look ! I just might paint my floor with the Durabak also ... and make my covers from Seaboard. How much side clearance should I leave (from cover edge to floor wall) ... to account for expansion ??
Thanks, Brian

Hey Stinky...boxes under the seats made the old-fasioned way...treated wood...each box is built to contain a 40 gal gas tank, so inner dimension of box made to fit outter measurements of tanks w/ some ''wiggle room''...also added 1/4'' rubber mat under each tank to ''cushion'' between alum. and boat's deck...boxes made, then ''cover'' or ''upholster'' with white vinyl...did the job winter of 1999 and has worked well...wanted them STURDY so over-built...they're a little on the heavy side...would like to remake in fiberglass...maybe someday...but no other regrets on goin' that route... ;D...

Rap, how did you route your fuel lines from those tanks?

Re: Seaboard ...... and paint, epoxy, tape ???

From tanks to stern, they run under the gunwales, then to a seperator, then to motor...B4 the seperator, each line has an in-line lever-action shut-off to switch tanks...filler hoses come thru outter box sides, under the gunwales and to filler-caps; vent-lines run the same...set-up works like a champ... :D...
