I thought about contacting you about the mecury that you have for sale. It looks clean. I really don't want to repower just yet but if I do I really want a 4 stroke let me know if you need to get rid of that johnson/suzuki.

What area are you in if I get desprate?

I had this same problem with my grandfathers pontoon boat. It has an 85HP SUZUKI that is oil injected. YAMAHA uses the same basic oil injection pump that SUZUKI uses. But the PENNZOIL oil was thinner than the SUZUKI oil that the pump was calibrated for, and it was pumping almost twice as much oil as it did with the SUZUKI oil. The MIKUNI pump is VERY particular of what oil you put in it. Switched back to SUZUKI oil(which in bulk is about the same as PENNZOIL at WAL-MART). Drained the oil tank and refilled it with the fresh SUZUKI oil, purged the air from the lines. And took it out and ran it for 30 minutes on the lake and it has run great since. I run the PENNZOIL in my eVINRUDE premixing, but it didn't work with the oil injection system.

if you want the best get Klotz Syn. Oil that's what us Standup jetski racers run. it's around $64.00 a gallon but the pen syn is good chit

The PENNZOIL has served me well. I lost 2 engines on JOHNSON 2-stroke oil, but the PENNZOIL works well. The only issue I've had with it was on oil injected engines.

I'm here in central NC where it was sunny and 68 degrees today. This Merc won't give you any trouble about what kind of oil you run, its premix.

As for the Johnzuki, the cylinder walls will wear through before I get rid of it. I loves me some 4 stroke Johnzuki!
